My Goal For The Week
I need to work on “thinking more long-term” instead of short-term, and I am going to start doing that this week.
One Idea For a Better Week
If you have work to do, or you have to study, or you have to do chores, try setting a 60 minute timer, putting all of your devices away, and then working on it until the timer is up. It is a great way to be more productive.

Las Vegas History
The Moulin Rouge Agreement (1955)
In May 1960, the Moulin Rouge Agreement became a milestone in Las Vegas's civil rights history. The Moulin Rouge, open since 1955, was the city's first integrated hotel-casino, drawing patrons of all races. This landmark hosted a crucial meeting during protests against segregation, bringing together community leaders and activists.
Amid threats of a race riot that could damage Las Vegas's image and economy, stakeholders met at the Moulin Rouge. Notable attendees included NAACP attorney Charles Wilson and activist Bob Bailey, alongside Strip casino owners.
This meeting led to the desegregation of Las Vegas's casinos and hotels. While not legally enforced, the Moulin Rouge Agreement was a gentleman's agreement that effectively ended racial exclusion in Vegas's gaming and entertainment venues, marking a pivotal moment for civil rights in the city.
